A Look Through The Dark Titan Universe Saga: Chapter 6
Welcome to Chapter 6 of “A Look Through The Dark Titan Universe Saga”. A series of separate articles based on the Dark Titan Universe Saga.
Giving new readers who don’t mind SPOILERS and those whom have already read something pertaining to the series a look at what’s happened from the start and what’s to come with The Heroes’ Path Trilogy, which begins on March 26th with The Oranos Imperative. This series will be going by chronology including the main titles, spin-offs, and One-Shot stories. Continuing the series with Mystery of The Mutant-Thing, Shade & Switchblade, and Retribution of Cain. The following three Dark Titan One-Shot stories after Maveth, The Death-Bringer.
Mystery of The Mutant-Thing begins with Gabriel Abraham the Devilhunter returning to the Revelation Center, not knowing he had a visitor in Travis Vail, the Spirit-Seeker. Vail speaks with Abraham concerning a mystery in the north detailed with the known location of the Mutant-Thing, an ancient elemental being. Abraham agrees to help Vail with this mystery and they head off to London to find a recruit, who is Cinderella, the Sly Detective. Afterwards the three make their way toward Retropolis as they are witnessed to a chase n the streets with several criminals being hunted down by The Swordman, who captures them and interrogates them for answers. Once that is done, The Swordman is greeted by the three, yet already aware of Cinderella’s existence due to their shared knowledge. The Swordman leads them into the Retropolis Forest where they are confronted by the Mutant-Thing himself. The Mutant-Thing combats them before Vail and Abraham send it back into the ground. Now, with the mystery of the Mutant-Thing’s existence solved, Vail and Abraham return to the Revelation Center and see they are both greeted by Papa Afterlife, who tells them of a danger coming ahead. *This story directly enters the scenarios of Book 3.*
Shade & Switchblade starts off with the two titular characters on the run from a facility held by Glasco, Inc. Soldiers chased them down before Shade could shroud them with darkness, giving way for Switchblade to slaughtered them with her bright blades. Elsewhere, Marion von Eldric speaks with Ezekiel McKnight concerning the young super-humans. McKnight wants them found and suggests Marion send the best mercenary she knows to find them (ex. Maveth). Marion states her preferred mercenary is busy, however, she will find the next one. Somewhere far from the Glasco facility, the young couple arrive at a motel, seeing a newspaper depicting the Battle of Retropolis from The Resistance Protocol. Switchblade suggested they follow in The Resistance’s footsteps and help those in need while Shade was hesitant to make the attempt, yet, they decide to take this new life of theirs step-by-step.
Retribution of Cain follows a young woman walking through a village in the land of Midian. She goes to fetch water before being confronted by a group of unknown men who begin threatening her before they are targeted by a larger peculiar man. His presence startles them as the ran away in fear. The young woman thanked the tall stranger, knowing his name is Cain, as word has spread across the village of his past deeds in selflessness. Cain makes sure the woman is well as he turns away, stating he’s headed for North America to see the rising heroes. Just as the woman finished fetching the water, she turned around to see that Cain had vanished. Even his footsteps were blown away. No trace of his presence.
This marks the end of Chapter 6: Mutant-Thing, Shade& Switchblade, and Cain.
Chapter 7 of the series will be focused on Tales of the Numinous. Book 3 of the Dark Titan Universe Saga series.
