“The Man who Haunts the Evil”: The Legacy of Gabriel Kane
The World of the Symbolum Venatores flows throughout human history. From various Monsters to the legendary Hunters who follow, there have been many. Yet, there is one who became renown from his actions. His background led him onto a path where many Hunters would be inspired. His confrontations with legendary forces proved to many of his purpose. That man is known as Gabriel Kane.
Gabriel Kane made his official public debut in February 2020 with the release of Symbolum Venatores: The Gabriel Kane Collection, a set of ten short stories detailing Kane’s adventures across the world through certain parts of history in which he lived and traveled. From visiting Egypt during the latter portion of the Egypt Eyalet, to participating slightly in the American Civil War after a UFO crash-landed, to even colliding with zombies and the shogun in the late chapter of Feudal Japan, Gabriel Kane was there and his name lived on.
WHO IS GABRIEL KANE?
Born in England 1842, Gabriel Kane uncovered mysteries concerning supernatural elements. One night, he was abducted by extraterrestrials. After returning to earth, he took it upon himself to vanquish both supernatural and extraterrestrial evil. Through the years, his commitment has taken him from Europe to the United States, to Japan, Egypt, and among other locations across the globe. He is sometimes labeled as The Man with No Soul by his physical appearance of wearing all black clothing with his signature black hat and leather duster. Although, his attire changes depending on the locations visited for his hunting missions as when he went to Egypt, he wore all brown and in Japan he wore all white.
Through his travels, he’s come into contact with famous faces such as Akhenaten, Shogun Yoshinobu, Abraham Lincoln, Jefferson Davis, Thomas Carnacki, Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Watson, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Dracula, Carmilla, Doctor Moreau, Dr. Frankenstein and his Monster, The Invisible Man, and even the Phantom of the Opera.

Gabriel Kane shares his motives with Hunters from past eras such as Ancient Egypt’s The Hunter of Egypt, Ancient Israel’s Elrad of Benjamin, and the Viking Age’s Einar The Hunter.
