The line echoed across human history which speaks of the Remnants: Monster Hunters scattered throughout time. The World of the SymboluM Venatores remains such a world and continues to grow with history backing every cause. This post will detail several of the Hunters within the SymboluM Venatores and where they’ll be next.
GABRIEL KANE: “The Man who Haunts The Evil”
The renown Monster Hunter and Ufologist who traveled the world during the Mid-19th and early 20th Centuries. Beginning his memorable role as a Remnant during the early age of twenty, Gabriel Kane has come across many monsters and countless allies such as Dracula, Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Pharaoh Akhenaten, Shogun Yoshinobu, Hastur, The Invisible Man, Phantom of the Opera, Sherlock Holmes, Thomas Carnacki, and many others. Kane’s work inspired many to join his ranks and slay monsters in their own territories during those centuries.
Gabriel Kane is set to return in SymboluM Venatores: Hallow Hunt, a new story set during World War 1 which will see him and Dracula clash for one last time.
MR. HOD: The Spiritual Remnant
Little is known about Mr. Hod. Only for certain his role as a Remnant began much earlier than Gabriel Kane. Being in his late 60s, Mr. Hod is truly a mystery. His earlier hunts hidden to history, whereas his first prominent role came in a short tale that followed Mr. Hod investigating a murder in the winter during the Russian Revolution. The suspect was found by Mr. Hod, leading to a chase that is set to continue in SymboluM Venatores: Red Rising. But, before Red Rising comes, Mr. Hod has a second tale on the horizon this January with SymboluM Venatores: Excursion.
EINAR and GYDA: The Viking Age Monster Hunters
While Saxons and Danes battled across England, monsters lurked through the shadows. These incidents brought forth Einar The Hunter, known as The One who Stands Alone or The Viking Age Monster Hunter. Einar began his saga of slaying monsters after he was visited by the Ones from the Skies, from there, Einar took on a new path. Forsaking his viking heritage and becoming a Remnant with his wife Gyda at his side. Einar and Gyda’s first major role arrived in England during the ongoing conflicts to uncover a secret hidden by the Venatores’ rival forces. Once in England, both discovered most of his former allies has joined the opposing side, creating much tension between the lands. After slaying the monsters roaming the land and ridding England of the troublesome ones, King Aelfred informs them of another similar incident happening in Ireland.

ELRAD THE HUNTER: Ancient Israel’s Monster Hunter
Upon the death of King Solomon, Ancient Israel came to a turn with the rise of Rehoboam and Jeroboam, causing a civil war and splitting the Kingdom into two separate lands, being Israel and Judah, a young man was brought to the knowledge of the Remnants. Elrad of Benjamin is his name. Chosen for the time he lived in, Elrad was led on the path to become a Remnant under the direction of Iddo the Prophet, he was even visited by one of the archangel with direction regarding his path. Learning and discovering his heritage, Elrad’s name began to spread across the kingdoms in silence. From that moment, Elrad was known only as Elrad The Hunter. After the civil war, Elrad was involved during the Battle of Zephath and entered a small scuffle with the Anakim in the lands of the Philistines.
Elrad The Hunter is set to return SymboluM Venatores: Project Apocalypsis, a new tale coming in the near future.
THE HUNTER OF EGYPT: Hatshepsut’s Silent Protector
Queen Hatshepsut reign in the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. All was well until certain priests began to summon the sinister forces to terrorize the land of Egypt. Once evil made itself known, the protector came forward. Only known as The Hunter, his name hidden in the sands, began to protect Egypt on his own. Slaying monsters from the land and sea, The Hunter aided Queen Hatshepsut’s rule with his own hands. Eventually slaying the priests known as the Lectors of Apep. Once they were defeated, The Hunter gave his hand to Hatshepsut to protect all of Egypt as long as he lived.
The Hunter of Egypt was once set to return in another short tale, however the tale became integrated with his full return in SymboluM Venatores: Project Oriens. A project that will follow The Hunter during the Biblical Exodus.
