A Look Through The Dark Titan Universe Saga: Chapter 9
Welcome to Chapter 9 of “A Look Through The Dark Titan Universe Saga”. A series of separate articles based on the Dark Titan Universe Saga.
Giving new readers who don’t mind SPOILERS and those whom have already read something pertaining to the series a look at what’s happened from the start and what’s to come with The Heroes’ Path Trilogy, which begins on March 26th with The Oranos Imperative. This series will be going by chronology including the main titles, spin-offs, and One-Shot stories. Continuing the series with Maveth: Bloodsport. The second spinoff of the Dark Titan Universe Saga.
Maveth: Bloodsport takes place after the events of Day of Octagon and before the events of Crossbreed. Following Maveth/Danton Thomas on a mission given to him by Marion von Eldric after his run-in with The Swordman. While on the mission, Maveth runs into Gunbaine, familiar with his tactics, Maveth learns Marion hired not only him, but several other mercenaries for a much larger mission. A game in a sense. Which mercenary wins the game receives a prize worthy of their pay. Other mercenaries beside Maveth and Gunbaine were Tessa Balthazar, the Exchange Force, Cartavious Cage, Deadon the Commando, Kane the Mercenary, The Bandit, and Cain.
Their first mission took them to a ball in Manchester, leading to a shootout with Maveth and Gunbaine against Deadon and Bandit. Tessa was chased throughout the building by Cage before he was taken out by Cain. The Exchange Force were in a fight themselves clashing with Lynch and Kane. Cage was eliminated from the game.
The following day, the mercenaries are brought to a mansion on an island somewhere in the Indian Ocean. Scattered about, the mercenaries dueled against one another. Maveth and Gunbaine stayed close as did Lynch and Kane. Elsewhere, Marion had a meeting with Kex Kendrick and J, speaking on the chances of which mercenary would win. Kex has some ideas in place for the winner.While at the mansion, T.I.T.A.N. agents arrived in force, making the game more difficult to win. Tessa fought against the agents while Lynch and Kane killed whichever one approached them. Later, Maveth and Gunbaine fought Lynch and Kane head-on with Tessa assisting them. The Exchange Force, Deadon, and Bandit were taken out by Cain in another section of the mansion on separate occasions. Maveth and Gunbaine eventually bump into T.I.T.A.N. Agent Marshall Henshaw before Cain enters the room, taking out everyone except for Maveth. Now, the game was set between Maveth and Cain, who battled each other all the way to the outside with Maveth besting the Cursed One.
Upon his victory, Maveth is brought into a meeting with Marion, Kex, and J. They give him several options of a reward. He looked at them all before settling on one. The prize was to hunt down The Swordman and Maveth was prepared for their rematch, leading toward the upcoming sequel to the now Maveth series, titled “Maveth vs. The Swordman”.
This marks the end of Chapter 9: Maveth: Bloodsport.
Chapter 10 of the series will be focused on Crossbreed. Book 5 of the Dark Titan Universe Saga.
